The navigation unit incorporates an Intel Core i7 SBC, Ubuntu Linux, a high-brightness 17.3-inch rugged display, bezel keys, joystick, membrane keyboard, and multiple communication interfaces including Ethernet, USB, RS232, and RS422. The rugged hardware architecture includes isolated power conversion, MIL-grade circular connectors, and shielded interconnections for reliable operation under vibration, shock, dust, humidity, and extreme temperatures.
